The Press Center for the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War extends warm welcome to you and provides wholehearted services to facilitate media coverage.

For your convenience, the Press Center offers important reminders as follows:

Important reminders:

1. Please bring all valid identification documents. Journalists from Hong Kong and Macao please bring the ID documents used for registration (ID card, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents or passport), the credentials for the commemorative events, the invitation card and the special event pass. Journalists from Taiwan please bring the Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, the credentials for the commemorative events, the invitation card and the special event pass. Journalists from foreign media please bring your ID documents (ID card, passport, Press Card (R), or Employer Card), the credentials for the commemorative events, the invitation card and the special event pass. 

2. Please dress in formal or business casual, and wear comfortable shoes (there is a considerable walking distance from the drop-off point to your designated spot); please keep warm; power banks must bear the CCC mark and have a battery capacity below 16,000mA, and they must be tested and approved in advance and have an approval label for entry; do not bring any wireless electronic devices without any approval label; do not bring materials irrelevant to the event. A list of prohibited items is attached below.

3. Please arrive at the China Millennium Monument Parking Lot, north of the Press Center by 3:45 a.m. on the morning of the day of the event for security check at the entrance, and then board shuttle buses to the Tian'anmen Square or the Great Hall of the People. Make sure to take all your belongings with you when getting off the bus. Parking will not be allowed on the roads around China Millennium Monument, so please choose your means of transportation to the Monument wisely. The Journalist Working Area of the Press Center will be open overnight on September 2 through September 3, with snacks and drinks served for journalists arriving early.

4. 220V AC power sources and Internet interfaces (bandwidth 50M, universal network interface, automatic user authentication) will be available in the media area to the north of the Chang'an Avenue. There will be no power source or Internet interface on the makeshift viewing stands to the south of the Chang'an Avenue.

5. Please follow the guidance of the staff on site. When the national flag is raised and the national anthem played, please rise and stand in solemn respect together with other attendees. Forty minutes before the official event begins, a period of silence will be observed. Please stay quiet, refrain from talking loudly and wandering about. Journalists on the makeshift viewing stands to the south of the Chang'an Avenue please take your assigned seats and do not bring large professional photography or video-recording equipment. Once the period of silence begins, please remain seated. Photo journalists and cameramen to the north of the Chang'an Avenue, please operate only in designated areas; before the official event begins, please put away folding chairs and other items, and keep your interview equipment and other belongings organized. For use of the restroom before the period of silence, please consult the staff on site and follow their guidance.

6. Journalists who feel unwell may seek help from medical staff on site. Mineral water, electrolyte drinks, hard candy, and biscuits are also available at service points on site.

7. Please closely follow the Press Center's website, WeChat account, Sina Weibo account and Toutiao account, where notices for journalists and any changes of schedule will be updated in a timely manner.

List of Prohibited Items at the Security Checkpoint

1. Firearms, ammunition and explosives; 

2. Crossbows, knives, firearm replicas and other restricted weapons;

3. Fireworks, gasoline, alcohol, and other combustible and explosive materials;

4. Chemicals that are highly toxic, corrosive, or radioactive;

5. Harmful biological agents and pathogens of contagious diseases;

6. Illegal drugs including heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine;

7. Food, drink, and liquid containers of any sort;

8. Kindling materials;

9. Any banners, billboards or flags for propaganda purposes without prior approval;

10. Paints, aerosol spray, markers and other writing tools that can be used to produce propaganda materials; 

11. Animals; 

12. Musical instruments, including whistles, trumpets, drums and other instruments;

13. Clubs for ball games, long sticks, selfie sticks, slingshots and sharp objects;

14. Suitcases and bags of any sort, except the tool kits of journalists, medical staff and repair persons;

15. Untested and unauthorized radio stations and radio transmitting equipment (excluding public mobile communication terminals, i.e. mobile phones, computer-embedded wireless network cards, laptop computers, and tablet computers; automobile remote keys and camera wireless remote-control devices with a power output below 2mW; biomedical telemetry and medical implant supporting devices for personal use that meet the technical requirements of low-power short-range radio transmission equipment; wearable smart devices such as smart watches, smart wristbands, and Bluetooth earplugs and headsets); 

16. Any objects that may distract the audience or interrupt the commemorative events, including umbrellas, laser devices and voice amplifiers;

17. Medications and syringes without doctor's prescription and prior approval;

18. Unmanned aerial vehicles, model aircraft, and airborne objects such as balloons and kites without prior approval;

19. Other items banned by law;

20. Other items that may impair public security.
